Rolex Day Date Everose Gold Chocolate Dial 36mm 118135 This is it, top of the tree as far as Rolex model lines go, and has remained the King of Rolex for very good reason. With a long lineage, and a history of some of the most interesting pieces the Big R have ever produced, they're our personal favourite Rolex's and likely the watch we'd take over all others if we were to have just one. Released in 2013, the 118135 features the traditional Day Date size of 36mm, and is crafted in Everose gold, which is very different to a traditional rose gold. It utilises more platinum for scratch resistance, and has a higher copper content for a more intense rose colour, and is proprietary to Rolex. In this reference, it is paired with a deep brown 'gator strap with Everose deployant, matching the chocolate dial within. This is, to our eyes, the perfect match for Everose. It is powered by the Chronometre certified calibre 3155 automatic movement, and features 100m of water resistance. While you wouldn't be testing that capability with the OEM 'gator strap, this example also comes with a brown Tropical-style strap which is perfect to wear around the water over the Summer months.
