Features include black dial with silver sub-dials, Super-LumiNova luminous hour markers/hands, running small seconds, screw-down crown, screw-down pushers and chronograph function with hour and minute counters. This steel bezel and black dial combination is no longer produced by Rolex, leaving this reference as your one and only choice if you desire a modern Daytona with this look. On paper this is a sports watch, but with its ultra-clean black dial and all steel design it transcends above any one category, and can be worn in any setting. When it comes to Rolex, it's the miniscule details that matter. This particular version features a rare "APH" error dial, named because of the gap in text of the word "COSMOGR APH". Only limited numbers of these were made before Rolex corrected it. Though it is already a highly-collectable piece regardless, this tiny typographical oddity has made it even more desired amongst serious collectors. The watch is powered by the Rolex calibre 4130 featuring bi-directional automatic winding, Parachrom hairspring, hacking seconds and 72-hour power reserve.
