For your consideration is this Rolex Submariner transitional reference from 1986. Even though it's from the 80's, it is a five-digit reference 16800 (most five-digit references didn't come around until the 90's) and features a sapphire crystal and the updated calibre 3035 with quick-set date, making it a stand-out reference that was produced at a time when Rolex was still mostly producing watches with plexiglass crystals and the older generation movement without a quick-set function. The ref 16800 also features a highly-desirable matte dial. With this transitional Submariner, you get a watch with genuine vintage charm but with all the modern watchmaking conveniences. It is fitted on its original ref 93150 Oyster bracelet with folding Oysterlock clasp and ref 593 end-links.
