At 2009 you’re right at the very end of the five-digit production run, so you get all the perks of a late 16600 while still having that old-school aluminium bezel, 40mm case and no cyclops. And the condition on this one is impressive. The case is beautifully thick, sharp and even, and judging by the lines and brushing I’d lean towards it being unpolished. But the bezel… man, that ghosted bezel is the cherry on top! It’s faded into this incredible silver/grey and gives the whole watch bucket-loads more character.
