The Rolex Datejust 16018 is the 36mm Datejust in solid 18k yellow gold, introduced in the late 1970s with the automatic calibre 3035 and its quickset date. With the fluted gold bezel and sapphire crystal, it bridges the classic vintage Datejusts and the modern era, and remains one of the most elegant gold Rolexes to wear. A circa 1979 Rolex Datejust 16018 in 18k yellow gold, dated by its 6.3 million serial. It features the yellow Buckley dial with printed Roman numerals, one of the most sought-after Datejust dials of the period.
