The Rolex Explorer II, introduced in 1971, was designed for speleologists and polar explorers. Its defining feature is the 24-hour fixed bezel and matching hand, which allows the wearer to distinguish between day and night in environments of perpetual light or darkness. The reference 216570, with its larger 42mm case and distinctive ‘Maxi’ dial, represents the modern iteration of this robust professional tool watch. A 2021 Rolex Explorer II with a black dial. This 42mm automatic watch is in mint condition, retaining partial factory stickers, and is offered as a complete full set.
