Rolex Explorer II 16570 'Black' 40MM 1993 Case and Bracelet The 40 mm Oyster case remains in excellent condition. It has been polished previously, and the case presents sharply, with the fixed 24-hour bezel framing the dial as Rolex intended. The Oyster bracelet is also in excellent condition and suits the overall presentation of the watch. Dial and Hands The black dial and hands are in good condition and have developed a very attractive patina, the kind of honest ageing that suits a purpose-built Explorer II now more than three decades old. Some oxidisation and wear are visible on close inspection, consistent with the age and use of a 1993 example, and they add character to the watch rather than detract from it. Use Advisory At more than 30 years old, this Explorer II should be treated as a vintage timepiece. We recommend avoiding swimming and prolonged water exposure, and keeping it clear of hard impacts and strong magnetic fields.
