Preloved Rolex Explorer II 16570 'Polar' Unpolished 40MM 1996 Case & Bracelet The 40mm Oyster case is unpolished and in very good condition, with light hairlines consistent with careful wear. This case has the drilled lugs, and the lug holes are where polishing usually shows itself first, as the openings soften and the flanks lose their line. Left unpolished, the case keeps the proportions and finishing Rolex gave it, and the hairlines present are surface marks that sit on the steel rather than evidence of steel having been removed. The watch is fitted with its original Oyster bracelet, reference 93150, the bracelet Rolex supplied on the Explorer II and its sports siblings in this era, and it is in great condition with some hairlines across the links and clasp.  A 93150 that has stayed with its case for thirty years and still presents in great condition has been worn with some care, and it completes the watch as it would have left the dealer in 1996. Dial & Hands The white 'Polar' dial and the hands are in very good condition and have developed an even cream patina.
