About this watch
Launched in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date was the first wristwatch to show the day of the week spelled out in full alongside the date, and it has only ever been made in precious metal. Reference 18239 is the white gold model of the fifth generation, introduced in 1988 with the 36mm case, the signature fluted bezel and the calibre 3155 with double quickset for the day and date. A 1991 Rolex Day-Date 18239 in 18k white gold, dated by its X serial. The 36mm case with fluted white gold bezel features a sunburst silver dial with factory diamond hour markers, including baguette diamonds at 6 and 9, paired with a Chinese day disc, one of the language discs Rolex made for specific markets. Fitted to its 18k white gold President bracelet, serviced by Rolex and presented in excellent vintage condition, it comes with its inner and outer box, Rolex service card and papers, booklets, green swing tag and the original price tag.
