Rolex Day Date 18238 E Serial Champagne Dial The 18238 is the last model of Day Date to feature brushed lugs, while also featuring a double quickset function for adjusting the day and the date, which endows it with practicality, ease of use and vintage charm all at the same time. For this reason it, along with the 1803, is our favourite iteration of the Day Date. The 18239 is the third series of 18-series Day Date, and is a step up form the previous 18038 as it now featured a double quickset function for adjusting the day and date, which endows it with a level of practicality, and ease of use not seen in prior generations. The case is also slimmer, while retaining the classic 36mm case size and brushed lugs we so love. This particular example is an E serial dating from circa-1990, and presents in excellent vintage condition. Serviced by the Rolex Service Centre in 2019, the case is in excellent shape. Has been polished, but retains sharp lugs, with a uniform finish that RSC servicing provides. Shows some light scratches, and swirlies, but no dings/nicks etc. Bezel shows a few very minor dings under a loupe. Please see images for full condition details. Tritium champagne baton…
