Sinn EZM 13.1 Diving Chronograph Sinn make some of the toughest tool watches around, and some of the coolest, too. The EZM range - which stands for Einsatzzeitmesser, or mission timer in English - is perhaps their most iconic line along with the U diving series. The lineage began with the EZM 1 of 1997, and debuted a watch that was highly legible, capable and endowed with the Sinn toughness one has now come to expect from the brand. Not many stand up to heavy use as well as a Sinn does. The EZM 13.1 debuted in 2022, and is essentially a facelift of the previous EZM 13. Featuring a 41mm bead-blasted steel case surrounded by a uni-directional dive bezel, it houses a matte black dial with lumed markers, fully lumed hands and a discreet date between 3 and 4 in red. It is remarkably legible and fuss-free for a chronograph, and that is thanks to the use of the calibre SZ02, a modified Valjoux 7750, with it's use of a central seconds hand for the 60 second counter, with 60 minutes at 6, and running seconds at 3.
