Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon AeroGMT II One very cool chunk of steel, the Engineer Hydrocarbon will never be mistaken for anything other than a watch from Ball. That imposing stainless steel case is listed as 42mm, but it closer to 45mm across the bezel, with a thickness of 14mm and and a 53mm lug-to-lug. It's quite broad in measurement, but it cleverly utilises a heavily cambered case to allow it to fit wrists that other 45mm's would overwhelm. One of the most distinctive styling features of the case is the crown protector, which uses a sliding lock to ensure the crown is securely in place and ensure that 100m of water resistance is intact. Inboard of this sits the 24hr bi-directional bezel with a lovely action and sapphire cap for scratch resistance.
