Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Quantième Satin-Brushed Grey J007030248 A cornerstone of the Jaquet Droz brand, the Grande Seconde series makes clever use of negative space to create stunning pieces that have an aesthetic all of their own. This particular version of the Grande Seconde is known as the Quantième, and features a pointer date and running seconds hand in the lower portion of the figure of 9 dial, with time on the upper portion, all against a gorgeous satin-brushed grey dial. It’s housed in a 43mm steel case, and is powered by a self-winding Jaquet Droz 2660Q2.P movement with approximately 68 hour power reserve from its double barrels, and silicone balance spring and pallet horns, making for a thoroughly modern movement despite it’s classical looks. This particular example was purchased locally in January April 2022 and presents in TZ Near-Mint condition. The case shows light signs of use in the form of some minor hairlines, small rub marks and very light swirlies on the polished surfaces. No dings, dents or deep scratches.
