James Lamb Origin Series Air A stunning entry into the world of Independents, self-taught watchmaker James Lamb burst onto the independent watchmaking scene in 2021 with the release of the Origin series under his eponymous brand. Inspired by natures elements - fire, water, air and earth – they each use champlevé vitreous enamel colours and decoration to evoke each of their namesakes. This particular version is the Air, with brief fine flowing lines of silver on a background of rare bluish opalescent vitreous enamel that plays and catches light. It is absolutely mesmerising in person, and shows astounding craftsmanship. The cases themselves are made in-house and by hand, something not many Indies can lay claim to, and is made of Argentum Silver. Along with the case, the dial blanks, winding crown, ceramic subdial amongst other components are made in-house also. Case sizes are available in 0.25mm increments, with this particular pieces being sized at 38mm. Powering it is a manually wound premium grade Sellita SW210-1, for easy serviceability and reliability.
