The Rolex Datejust 36 reference 16233 in stainless steel and 18k yellow gold with the champagne index dial, the classic two-tone Datejust in its most timeless configuration. The 16233 was introduced in 1988 and brought the sapphire crystal and quickset date to the two-tone Datejust, and it is still regarded as one of the best everyday Rolex watches ever made. This C serial example dates to 1992, and the champagne dial with gold baton markers is the combination that defined the Datejust look for a generation. The warm champagne dial is paired with applied gold baton markers and hands, with the date under the Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock. The 18k yellow gold fluted bezel and the two-tone Jubilee bracelet give it that unmistakable Datejust presence, dressy yet easy to wear every day.
