The IWC Big Pilot's Watch Heritage 48 reference IW510301, a limited edition of just 1000 pieces, with the caseback engraved One out of 1000. The Big Pilot is IWC's most famous design, inspired by the oversized observation watches the brand built for aviators in 1940, and the Heritage 48 takes it straight back to those roots: a 48mm case in lightweight titanium with a matte, tool-watch finish, the signature oversized onion crown, and a dial built purely for legibility. The black dial carries vintage-toned Arabic numerals and the classic triangle-and-dots marker at twelve, with small seconds and date at six and sword hands that echo the original cockpit instruments. Inside is a hand-wound movement with an eight-day power reserve. It sits on a brown riveted calfskin strap with IWC pin buckle, a look that suits the watch perfectly. Despite its size, the titanium case wears far lighter than you would expect. It was serviced two years ago and presents in very good condition.
