Nearly 100 years later, and it’s still one of the most recognisable designs in watchmaking! These days, instead of using the reverse to hide the watch, JLC put a sapphire caseback on it and showed off the movement. So the side originally designed to protect what was underneath is now arguably the side you want to look at. It’s almost a shame it spends half its life hidden! And the dial side certainly isn’t lacking on this one. Solid 18K pink gold, full calendar, moonphase and incredible attention to detail.
