Reference PFC905-2020001-200182 is the Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante in rose gold with the Milano blue dial, and the first thing to say about it is that it looks like a two-hand watch and is not one. That restraint is the entire point. A rattrapante is normally a chronograph term — one hand splits from another to time a second event. Parmigiani applied the idea to time zones instead. There are two hour hands stacked exactly on top of each other, so at rest you see one. Press the pusher and the second hand steps away in one-hour increments to your destination; press again and it snaps back underneath the first, and the dial returns to looking like a two-hander. Nothing is added to the dial to achieve it: no fourth hand, no 24-hour ring, no window. A second time zone that costs the design nothing when you are not using it. The dial is Grain d'Orge, hand-guilloché rather than stamped, in the Milano blue Parmigiani uses across the Tonda PF, with 18 ct gold appliques. The knurled bezel and the integrated bracelet are the house signatures, and in rose gold the whole thing warms considerably against the steel versions.
