The Hublot Big Bang Sang Bleu II Limited Edition is a striking fusion of contemporary art and haute horology, born from Hublot’s ongoing collaboration with renowned tattoo artist and typographer Maxime Plescia-Büchi (Sang Bleu). Introduced in 2019 as the second chapter of this partnership, the Sang Bleu II builds on the original’s geometric language with a more complex, multi-layered case construction that plays with depth, symmetry, and angular forms. The watch is powered by Hublot’s in-house UNICO manufacture calibre HUB1240, an automatic flyback chronograph movement featuring a column wheel, dual clutch, and approximately 72 hours of power reserve, visible through the skeletonised dial that integrates seamlessly into the design. Its primary complication is the chronograph, reinterpreted through Sang Bleu’s architectural aesthetic, making time-telling an immersive visual experience.
