Seiko 6105-8110 'Willard' 44mm 1972 Case and Strap The 44mm cushion case is in good vintage condition, showing the honest wear expected of a 1972 tool diver built for real use. The crown lock is fully functional, an important point on a 6105-8110, where the crown sits tucked into the case shoulder at four o’clock. The blue insert has faded to a soft ghost tone, giving this example the weathered, field-worn character that earned the reference its Willard nickname after Martin Sheen wore one in Apocalypse Now. The strap is in excellent condition. Dial and Hands The dial and hands show oxidation consistent with five decades of age. It is a natural, untouched look that sits comfortably alongside the ghost insert and reinforces the watch’s original, unrestored character.
