- This Heuer Carrera 1553 is in great vintage condition. The 39mm case shows hairline scratches from honest wear over roughly five decades, with no deeper marks noted. The case serial number has been scratched and is no longer fully legible

Heuer Carrera 1553 'Tropical' 39mm Circa 1970s Dial and Hands The dial has formed an attractive tropical patina, the warm shift in tone produced by years of exposure to sunlight. It develops differently on every watch, giving this example a face that is entirely its own. The hands show light oxidation, which sits comfortably alongside the patina of the dial.
